In addition, Emirates will launch a Dubai-Panama flight this month, which will take 17 hours and 35 minutes, once again setting a new record.

Before that, the world's longest flight was Qantas' Sydney-Dallas flight, which lasted 16 hours.

For the opening of the longest distance flight, as its competitor Qatar Airways said that Qatar Airlines was planning to open direct flights to New Zealand and Chile, and Arab Airlines did not want Qatar Airways to occupy the important market, so the first to open relevant routes.

It is reported that the Dubai-Auckland route will use Boeing 777-200LR aircraft. At the same time, Emirates will continue to fly to New Zealand via the east coast of Australia
